FAQ

  • Do you offer online therapy sessions?
Yes, I provide both in-person and secure online therapy sessions to accommodate your preferences and circumstances. My online sessions use encrypted, GDPR-compliant platforms to ensure your privacy and confidentiality. This flexibility allows me to support clients across the UK while maintaining the same high standards of care you'd receive in face-to-face sessions.
  • How long does therapy typically take?
The duration of therapy varies depending on your individual goals and circumstances. Some clients benefit from short-term focused work (8-12 sessions), while others prefer longer-term support. We'll regularly review your progress together and adjust our approach as needed. My goal is to equip you with the tools and insights you need to manage independently, so we'll work toward that from the beginning.
  • What therapeutic approaches do you use?
I specialise in evidence-based approaches, including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), and trauma-focused interventions. As a Mental Health Nurse with extensive training, I tailor my approach to meet your individual needs, whether you're dealing with anxiety, depression, trauma, autism-related challenges, or emotional regulation difficulties. I'm particularly experienced in working with neurodivergent individuals and complex mental health presentations.
  • What can I expect from our first session?
Your first session is a comprehensive assessment where we'll discuss your current concerns, personal history, and goals for therapy. This typically lasts 60-90 minutes and helps me understand your unique situation. We'll also discuss practical matters like confidentiality, session frequency and develop a collaborative treatment plan. There's no pressure - this is your opportunity to ask questions and ensure you feel comfortable proceeding.
  • How do I know if therapy is right for me?
If you're experiencing persistent feelings of sadness, anxiety, anger, or if life feels overwhelming, therapy can help. I work with adults facing various challenges, including depression, anxiety, trauma, relationship difficulties, autism-related concerns, and life transitions. During our initial assessment, we'll explore your concerns together and determine if my approach aligns with your needs and goals.
